ANXIETY

Anxiety is a universal human emotion that we all experience. But when anxiety becomes too frequent, intense, or interferes with your daily life, sometimes help is needed. If you frequently experience any of the following symptoms, you may be experiencing an anxiety disorder:

  • Feeling nervous, restless, or tense
  • Having a sense of impending danger, panic, or doom
  • Having an increased heart rate
  • Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation)
  • Sweating
  • Trembling
  • Feeling weak or tired
  • Trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry
  • Having trouble sleeping
  • Experiencing gastrointestinal (GI) problems
  • Having difficulty controlling worry
  • Having the urge to avoid things that trigger anxiety

When anxiety becomes unmanageable, it can feel as though you're underwater drowning in a sea of fear, dread, or uneasiness. If you relate to any of the following, I am here to help.

  • You feel like you're worrying too much and it's interfering with your work, relationships, or other parts of your life
  • Your fear, worry, or anxiety is upsetting to you and difficult to control
  • You feel depressed, are self-medicating, or have other mental health concerns along with anxiety such as behavioral outbursts or unmanaged irritability
  • You think your anxiety could be linked to a physical health problem
  • You have suicidal thoughts or behaviors — if this is the case, seek emergency treatment immediately

You don't have to suffer alone. Together, we will work towards not just managing your anxiety and discovering the root cause of it. I will not only offer skills to manage the feelings associated with anxiety but walk alongside you so that in time, the causes for anxiety can be addressed and ultimately resolved.

If you or someone you know could use support, schedule an appointment.
